1. Lauren James just won Goal of the Season...already?

What more can you say? Coming off the week she has had encountering the unacceptable abuse on the internet, Lauren James reminded everyone of her undeniable talent on the football pitch. Mentally, Hayes said the English international was not in good place mentally, perhaps one of the reasons for her starting on the bench at the Bridge in the Champions League.

In her return to the lineup, No. 10 netted one that most likely gave her Goal of the Season. Sure, it's early to make the claim, but that was pure magic if you've ever seen it. From way outside the box, James fired a rocket with her left-foot past the outstretched arms of Clark. Was that her weak foot? No, James doesn't have one. Put it in the highlight reel right now. Keep a pin in this one. That left-footed finish has an award written all over it.

World class players just score five-star goals like that. Later on in the match, James struck the woodwork, nearly doing producing an encore in the second 45. There is some vigor behind those shots, possibly letting out her anger for the poor officiating that she continuously receives in the English top-flight.

Chelsea and Emma Hayes head out of the country next for an enormous contest in the UEFA Women's Champions League vs. BK Hacken on Wednesday night.
