Negatives

1. Deivid Washington’s Missed Opportunity

It’s hard to find many negatives in a dominant display like Tuesday's, but for some, it was a missed chance to impress. Deivid Washington, one of the few outfield players on the bench who hadn’t featured before, was left as the odd man out and did not get the opportunity to come on as all five subs were made.

2. Tough Moments for Youth Duo Despite Valuable Experience

Despite being given 30 minutes to make an impact, Josh Acheampong and Tyrique George didn’t particularly stand out. They did well overall but found it tough at times to contain Barrow’s Katia Kouyate. George also missed a golden chance to get on the scoresheet. The match highlighted the gap between youth football and the senior level. While the experience will be invaluable for their development, fans will need to remain patient. This also explains why Enzo Maresca opted for more experienced players in previous matches when the squad was lacking a fit right-back.
