The combination of Noni Madueke, Mykhailo Mudryk and Raheem Sterling is a fairly elite wing roster, if you ask me. However, I am unsure that the latter's overall influence is as positive as other upper echelon wingers could be at Stamford Bridge. Madueke, too, unfortunately recently copied Sterling's negative behaviour by trying to steal a penalty from Palmer. But it is too soon to judge the 22-year-old as a prospective CFC starter.

Mudryk, meanwhile, also possesses the premium skill set of a prospect with a chance to be among the best in his position. His slight lack of maturity as well as misunderstanding the sport might stop his development - or force the club to sell. Naturally there are also rumours linking Chels' to notable strikers such as Ivan Toney and Viktor Gyokeres.

And now the pièce de résistance of the Chelsea squad: Cole Palmer. Yes, he's been afforded a lot of penalties, but the pressure was immense in some of those instances. Against his boyhood team, for example. Nevertheless, the ex-Manchester City starlet's overall linkup play, vision, facilitating, movement, finishing and cold mentality have been outstanding in 2023/24. He, Gusto, James, Disasi, Fernandez, Mudryk and Gallagher provide a likely exceptional core that gels with Palmer. Now CFC bosses must add the other prerequisite ingredients for success.
