Chilwell could finally feature against Middlesbrough in the League Cup semifinal first leg, though the FA Cup is too soon for the Ex-Leicester City man. Badiashile might perhaps also play then but misses the Preston North End clash. More here.

A very important time for Chelsea forward Armando Broja

Let's be honest now, this period may not exactly be what I would describe as Broja's final opportunity to secure his place at Chelsea Football Club. Although, it could be the most significant spell for the Albania international's career at Stamford Bridge. The 22-year-old is undeniably highly talented, and certainly able to lead a Premier League front line. He showed that compellingly while on loan at Southampton when the Saints were still in the English top-flight.

Now is the time for Broja. This is because Nicolas Jackson - who didn't impress me a whole lot until very recently, in spite of continuing to exhibit some rookie play such as foul throws and not playing in teammates - is on duty with Senegal at AFCON (The African Cup of Nations). While 'Poch' states Nkunku is being looked after carefully and won't start against Preston, he also noted that the Frenchman had an "issue" in the week.

But what did the former Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain boss say concerning Broja and the schedule? Basically, the CFC gaffer revealed that the striker will be more involved in upcoming fixtures. Poch wants his player to relax, forget previous problems and grasp the chance.
