After being linked with a quote-unquote "sensational" return to Stamford Bridge, it seems Solanke won't be joining Chelsea again. Simon Phillips, a Blues expert and journalist, claims that he has been told that Solanke isn't being considered at CFC.

What Chris Sutton said about Chelsea potentially selling a decently performing player to a Premier League rival located in London

First of all, if you've read my stuff you'll know that I advocate Chelsea keeping Gallagher for a number of reasons. Grounds which are numerous and rather obvious: he has been one of the more standout stats amongst an overall struggling group. As the Blues began to chalk up more points boasting slightly better outcomes and displays, the England international continued as an underrated hero in midfield.

However, if you are familiar with recent thoughts of mine, you'll also know that I consider Gallagher more of an eventual squad player at CFC. Nonetheless, an important cog in a team. When this side has added further quality in goal and to score goals, it will be a real threat to other EPL outfits. Right now, quality is only now burgeoning.

When the team is fully firing on all cylinders, Gallagher won't necessarily be guaranteed a place in the starting lineup. Nevertheless, offloading him to a club like Tottenham would be unwise and counterproductive to the uphill climb currently facing the west Londoners. So I would have to agree with former Chels', Blackburn Rovers and Celtic centreforward Sutton. The 50-year-old described CFC's apparent plans to sell the 23-year-old to Spurs as "remarkable".
