Chelsea player set for Villa transfer and Villan to switch to Blues
According to multiple reports presently doing the rounds, one Chelsea player is set for a transfer to Aston Villa. Meanwhile a Villan is said to be about to simultaneously switch to the Blues. PoL provide information and insight on possibly the third incoming piece of CFC business early this summer.
In addition to covering those two intertwined west London stories, PoL also cover the second signing of the offseason in 2024. Following centreback Tosin Adarabioyo coming to Stamford Bridge recently, Estevao Willian is also technically now a Chelsea player. Let's get down to it.
First of all, Chels' are active in the transfer market already in spite of pending Profit and Sustainability Rules problems. Consequently, some writers claimed that the Blues would be quieter and rather inactive. Nonetheless, Todd Boehly, Behdad Eghbali and the sporting directors are occupied with trading.
Yet CFC supporters shouldn't worry either because you can bet your bottom dollar that there is a team of lawyers scrutinising whether or not the club actually made any mistakes. Or if they actually breached Premier League regulations directly. Those legal eagles will protect and pounce if they see any inconsistencies or grey areas to exploit.
Estevao Willian joins Chelsea
And to that end, CFC have announced the acquisition of Estevao. The young Brazilian sensation is highly-regarded in the world of football by those in the know. The capture also represents the potentially incredible vision - if this keen foresight comes to fruition - of those in control of the famous English capital outfit.
Boehly and Co. wish for the Blues to have the preeminent stars of the future. This is a seemingly exquisitely prudent and fairly unprecedented move due to the sheer volume of renowned starlets coming to CFC. However, the teenager won't actually be at the Bridge until this time next year when he turns 18.
Blue will reportedly go one way as Villan goes the other
There are those in the Chelsea fan base who would like to see Ian Maatsen offered a significant opportunity to shine in a Blue shirt. Others such as myself wonder why the Dutchman hasn't been given a chance to prove himself at CFC.
Although, even after playing for multiple managers, and with a new head coach in place on Fulham Road, that eventuality is apparently futile. Maatsen 'is close to completing a deal to sign for Aston Villa', supposedly. Meanwhile a youthful Villan could be heading in the opposite direction:
"Chelsea agree a £19m deal to sign Omari Kellyman from Aston Villa... as Unai Emery's side close in on completing a deal to sign Blues defender Ian Maatsen"
