Chelsea unlikely to sign Isak but make offer for Forest star
There has reportedly been a major update concerning Chelsea Football Club's pursuit of Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak. Will the Blues get their reported target, or will the Sweden international remain at St. James Park?
In addition to that story, there is more occurring at Stamford Bridge. Are the west Londoners targeting Murillo, star of Premier League rivals Nottingham Forest?
Supposed outcome in Alexander Isak pursuit
Unfortunately it appears that the excited Chelsea fan base was let down regarding the club's admiration of the exhilarating Newcastle centre forward. The Swede would have surely been a hit on Fulham Road. He has the skill set, including ice-cool finishing, to threaten Erling Haaland and Blues playmaker Cole Palmer at the top of the English top-flight scoring charts.
However, Newcastle United are said to be reluctant to let one of their standout players depart. It would be especially unlikely that they'd allow a close competitor for Champions League qualification take Isak.
If there was an agreement to be made, the Magpies ownership would then possibly demand exorbitant fees from CFC in order to complete a hypothetical deal. In fact, many reporters allege that it would take more than the £115 million paid for Ecuadorian midfielder Moises Caicedo. A whopping £200m was mentioned by some, yet that amount feels ridiculous.
But, alas, it seems as though it was all a dream. We can refer to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano for the lowdown on what happened concerning Isak speculation. Essentially the Italian journalist declared that Chels' are "aware" of the footballer's situation in Newcastle.
This means the northern England team's valuation for their asset is apparently too rich for the capital club. Isak already has a long-term contract at NUFC and they plan to extend it as well, asserts Romano. Oh well, it would've been a top signing for Chelsea. But it's onto the next one in the search for a world-class goalscorer.
Chelsea chase Nottingham Forest defender Murillo
A trusted football rumour source has made a claim about CFC. The club have made inquiries about Forest star Murillo, according to The Telegraph. The outlet states that the Blues would like to bring the 20-year-old to the Bridge because he fits the prerequisite profile.
There is also speculation emanating from Brazil that claims Chelsea are happy to offer money and personnel in exchange for the Trees standout. Murillo also recently stated that he is open to moving.
