3. Sam Kerr ties the knot on a fourth consecutive WSL title, and lets the whole world know

Date: May 27, 2023

Similar to the previous campaign, Emma Hayes' team had to wait until the final day of the season to make it official. Though it would have been nice to do it at Arsenal, the west Londoners cruised in the county of Berkshire. With two first half goals, the Chels essentially already had one hand on the trophy. The Australian striker made sure it was two.

In the 88', Jelena Cankovic played Kerr through behind the Royals' backline. Despite striking the post on her first attempt, No. 20 finished off it off the second time around to tie the knot on a fourth league consecutive title. Smiles materialized on the faces of soon to be departing Magdalena Eriksson and Pernille Harder on the sideline.

The celebration was classic Kerr. If it wasn't for an Arsenal disruption in the 2018/19 campaign, the Australian would have to use two hands to do what she did at the Select Car Leasing Stadium. It was the perfect way to wrap up the league title. Arguably the world's best striker doing the double right before informing the public that the west Londoners now have double the amount of WSL first place finishes than anybody else.
