Fabrizio Romano has provided an exciting update on the future of Noni Madueke at Chelsea. Safe to say, he more than deserves it.

Chelsea have not had the best start to the season. However, amid their poor start, there has been one diamond in the rough, in the form of Noni Madueke.

Heading into this season, fans of all clubs would have expected Cole Palmer to be the main-man at Chelsea, considering he was last season. Or even Pedro Neto, who arrived with plenty of hope.

While both of those players have played well for Chelsea (this isn't a dig towards them), Noni Madueke has emerged as one of Chelsea's most important attackers, against all odds it must be said.

According to an update from trusted journalist Fabrizio Romano, the relationship between Chelsea and Noni Madueke is clear: The club wants Madueke to stay and Madueke wants to stay at Chelsea.

In his own words, Fabrizio Romano said: "Chelsea internally saw how special Noni Madueke was and then in the official games: The feeling between [Enzo] Maresca and Noni [Madueke] is excellent."

Fabrizio Romano then goes onto explain how Chelsea see the value in working closely with Noni Madueke to improve his mentality, which has been shown at the start of the season.

So, long story short, Chelsea are happy with Madueke's improvements so far this season and Madueke is indeed happy at Chelsea.

This clarification comes as a result of Madueke being linked with a move away from Chelsea throughout the recent summer transfer window. Fans may remember the period in which Newcastle were interested.

Rest assured, though. Chelsea do not plan on selling Noni Madueke anytime soon, nor will the Englishman push for a move away from Chelsea.

When Enzo Maresca arrived as Chelsea coach, this naturally raised eyebrows. Not least because some fans were still confused by the Mauricio Pochettino departure, but also because the Blues had a squad full of players who needed consistency in their direction.

Now that we have completed a chunk of the Premier League season, it is clear that Noni Madueke is one of the Chelsea players who benefits the most from Maresca being appointed as head coach.

Regardless what some fans might say about Maresca's start, the leading Chelsea goal-scorer Madueke will hopefully only continue to thrive under his tutelage.
