Finally Nkunku should play for Chelsea in this game

The Pride of London give our usual timely opinions to rumours and news as it is finally claimed that French forward Christopher Nkunku may perhaps play for Chelsea. And, man, do the Blues need a new saviour right now! Meanwhile, a hero of the west London club and two-time head coach might take a job abroad.

This is the last time we at PoL are going to speculate, hope, or write in general about the pending competitive Chelsea debut of Nkunku. We shall resist until Mauricio Pochettino confirms the second striker's fitness. It's just that the Blues need the ex-RB Leipzig man. Like, really need him. Yep, I'm piling necessary pressure onto the France international. At this point, any boost is required. Alternatively, a kind of footballing saviour to rescue the west London club from the obscurity of mediocrity that the outfit currently find themselves drowning in is more accurate. Nevertheless, this is the latest on Nkunku:

"After months of rehabilitation, Nkunku has finally returned to first-team training. He was in contention to feature against Brighton but ended up missing out on the squad in the end.

Pochettino said Nkunku and Lavia "are close" but they missed out against Man United as the quick turnaround in midweek is too close for the pair to make their debuts.

Possible return date: Everton (A) – Sunday, December 10"

Is Chelsea legend Frank Lampard heading back to the United States?

Lampard's managerial efforts may not have been successful at Stamford Bridge, after two attempts. Yet the retired England international is remembered as a truly great Chels' player. An icon. Now the former West Ham United and Manchester City star is in the running for a new manager post following an unsuccessful interim role on Fulham Road. He has not worked since that time.

Apparently Lampard is in illustrious company whilst in the running for a new appointment. Dean Smith, of Aston Villa and Leicester City fame, is up for the glamorous Charlotte FC hotseat. The Major League Soccer team are seeking a fresh approach and the Englishmen are under consideration by the US outfit. Despite also managing the likes of Derby County and Everton, Lampard is not guaranteed the position, the story suggests. The midfielder once played for New York City FC.
