Elsewhere, Spain and CFC star Marc Cucurella has responded to former Manchester United footballer and current top pundit Gary Neville. But why was the left back being booed so often before lifting the Euro 2024 trophy with his international teammates?

Marc Cucurella questions answered following national side triumph

You've got a disappointed (again) England fan here, so I am going to be careful what I say. That being said, congratulations to Cucurella and his fellow countrymen. If only, eh, Three Lions supporters?!

Anyway, if you weren't aware, 'Cucu' was one of the standout defenders of a very low-key but still entertaining tournament. At least that fact bodes well for Chelsea FC. Cole Palmer did himself more than justice in Germany as well. For a minute there - after personally writing that Palmer should have started for England - I thought the ex-Manchester City man was going to win us the Euros.

But, alas, a victory for Gareth Southgate's men wasn't to be. Spain were victorious, and duly showed just how talented their latest crop of players are. Cucurella was one of the instrumental factors in their success, it must be said. His set-up for the winning goal was marvellous from la Furia Roja's (the Red Fury) perspective.

Unhappy German support in the stands is the reason for Cucu's abuse. The drama and ill-feeling can be traced back to the quarterfinals. The Germans believe they should have received a penalty consequent to Cucurella's handball.

Jamal Musiala's shot was on-target, yet it was blocked by the full back. However, English referee Anthony Taylor failed to point to the spot. The contentious incident caused uproar amongst die Mannschaft's (the Team) faithful. Cucurella was subsequently loudly booed; allegedly by ticket-holding folks in their home country.

The 25-year-old also made a quite funny comeback to Gary Neville. You can see the exchange via X below:

Using the rather catchy catchphrase "We Burn Blue", the west London outfit have released their latest strip. And it is an eye-catching effort to say the least.

As you can see above, the blue colour is blended seamlessly with an orange accent. The marble-esque swirls are also eye-pleasing.
