Mauricio Pochettino gave some important updates aheadgood news ahead of the fixture. Ben Chilwell and Benoit Badiashile have both returned to first team training. Although their availability for the game remains in doubt, it is a sigh of relief for the Blues as they remain shorthanded due to injuries in the defence.

A win against Leicester will help Chelsea book another semi-final spot in a domestic competition. They made it to the Final of the League cup, but came short against Liverpool in February. Since the defeat to Liverpool, Chelsea have two wins and a draw to their name. Their performances have been lacklustre, but the fact that they have been able to get a result out of games is certainly a positive.
