Reece James return talk; defender's future in doubt; Mudryk to Arsenal?

The Pride of London comment after Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino engaged in talk over the eventual return of captain Reece James. Meanwhile a Blues defender's future is in doubt. Finally, PoL speak on the rumour that Mykhailo Mudryk might perhaps swap Stamford Bridge for Emirates Stadium and Arsenal in the summer.

When will Reece James make his latest comeback for Chelsea? Well, a projected return date remains the end of March. The 30th of this month, to be precise. That means the rightback could potentially be in contention for the Burnley match. Or, possibly more likely, the Manchester United clash on April 4. This is what Pochettino has now stated on the matter:

"Pochettino failed to provide a return date for James, who posted an update on social media recently. The Chelsea boss said via Football London: 'We don't know [when he'll be fit]. I cannot say the date of when it is possible.'"

Unfortunately for another fullback, his time with the Blues may be over. Fabrizio Romano claims that Marc Cucurella's CFC status will be 'assessed' at the end of the current campaign.

Underperforming Chelsea winger to sign for Arsenal?

Mykhailo Mudryk has thoroughly disappointed on Fulham Road and around the Premier League with Chelsea this season. There is no doubt about that point! There is also absolute certainty that the Ukraine international possesses a great skill set.

But getting the former Shaktar Donesk man to perform consistently, or at all, is a tough task for 'Poch' at present. The Argentine didn't help matters by constantly dropping or not starting the 23-year-old pretty much every time he scores. Check the record. Selling the wingman during the next transfer window may be CFC's best option at the moment.

For instance, look at what Mikel Arteta has done with Kai Havertz. The one-time Blue is firing on all cylinders in north London at present. I wouldn't be surprised if Arteta turned Mudryk into a Premier League-standard forward - if he does leave for AFC.
