The 8 most iconic moments for Chelsea at Wembley Stadium
Cech's unbelievable save against Liverpool — FA Cup 2012
Chelsea met Liverpool in one of the greatest FA Cup final encounters at the new Wembley Stadium. With Chelsea 2-0 up, the introduction of Andy Carroll changed the dimension of the game in Liverpool’s favour. Carroll scored a left-footed shot within minutes of entering the game.
In the 82nd minute, with Chelsea on the ropes, Luis Suarez's sumptuous cross found Carroll in the box, and he powered a bullet header towards Chelsea's goal. With many Liverpool players already starting to celebrate, Cech somehow made an excellent save with his right hand, and the ball was cleared by Branislav Ivanovic.
Chelsea later went on to win the Champions League that season in what was a historic season for the Blues.
Terry legendary strike vs Tottenham — League Cup 2015
Our current coach was at the helm of Spurs when Chelsea met Tottenham at Wembley in a London derby. With everything riding on it, this is a massive encounter between two harsh rivals, needing no fireworks for the explosion.
Towards the end of the first half, Chelsea won a free kick at the right side of the pitch. Willian whipped in the freekick that found Kourt Zouma and played it to Terry, who struck the ball past Lloris to give Chelsea a 1-0 lead before the half time.
Chelsea went on to win the game 2 -0 to give Jose Mourinho his first Chelsea silver in his second managerial stint at Chelsea.
