Chelsea legend Thiago Silva might perhaps sign for one of the Blues' rival clubs after announcing he's leaving. The Brazilian defender has supposedly received a bunch of offers to join other teams - including a trio of English capital outfits. The Pride of London ponder how the CFC fan base would react if, for example, the veteran centreback signed for Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur perhaps, or even Fulham. Due to a couple of injury blows for the west London side, Silva could have actually played his final match for Mauricio Pochettino already. Will the 39-years-old, who turns 40 soon after the 2024/25 season gets underway, ever feature for Chels' again?

Silva playing for Spurs or the Gunners? Heaven forbid. But, in all seriousness, the former Brazil international is still good enough to be in the Premier League. He's probably still of a standard to improve at least half the English top-flight lineups out there.

Would Silva make teams top 10 in the table better? Possibly; I think the ex-AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain footballer would strengthen a few of the more elite rosters around the world. He may not start for many of the best Champions League or European-level clubs, yet his guidance, experience and influence may arguably be priceless to some of them. Just look at how young and inexperienced the Blues squad is without Silva!

Anyway, what are the rumours saying? Basically, three London sides are interested in taking the old hand on-board. In fact, Silva has reportedly been given solid offers from three unnamed clubs. In all honesty, because he wants to return to Stamford Bridge at some stage, I don't think he'll go to a close competitor. I consider his one-time home Fluminense a likely detonation.

Have we seen the last of footballing sensei Thiago Silva at Chelsea for good? Let's hope he returns before the current campaign ends so that Blues supporters and stars can give him a proper send off!

At his most recent CFC press conference ahead of the Tottenham fixture in the EPL on Thursday, Pochettino confirmed a pair of fresh injuries. Unfortunately Thiago is unavailable for the clash with Ange Postecoglou's men this week. And so too is Axel Disasi. The centrebacks will be missed in an already porous and injury-plagued Chels' defence.

'Poch' gave no further details of the respective issues. With only four matches remaining after meeting THFC, considering Silva's age as well as his problem being undisclosed, some will wonder if he'll play for CFC again. Hopefully the Arsenal loss wasn't his final appearance.
