Chelsea defeated West Ham 5-1 to get back to winning ways. Joao Pedro scored his first league goal for the Blues and Estevao became the youngest player to provide a Premier League assist in club history. Meanwhile, in the background, officials are busy sorting out the futures of players who are not in the manager’s long-term plans.

Axel Disasi falls under that category and has been searching for a new club to move to since the beginning of the summer. However, a deal hasn’t materialised as of now. That said, recent reports have emerged suggesting things could soon change regarding the transfer of the defender.

According to Caught Offside, Wolves and Bournemouth are among the clubs showing the strongest interest in Disasi. Additionally, Newcastle United, Napoli and some Ligue 1 clubs could also enter the race for the player. Chelsea are looking for a fee in the region of £30 million.

The French international clearly has no place in Chelsea’s backline, as highlighted by the club’s decision to omit him from the squad that won the Club World Cup. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa.

Multiple clubs are interested in signing Chelsea defender Axel Disasi

Chelsea signed Disasi for a fee of €45 million, and he secured a regular place under former manager Mauricio Pochettino. However, his playing time dropped significantly last season following the appointment of Enzo Maresca. The French centre-back made just 17 appearances in the first half of the campaign before being sent on loan to Aston Villa.

Some fans believed Disasi might stay after the recent injury to Levi Colwill. But Chelsea have already covered the position well, having brought in Jorrel Hato, who can play at centre-back. There's also the emergence of Josh Acheampong, who started for the Blues in their opening match against Crystal Palace.

So, it’s now only a matter of time before Disasi leaves Stamford Bridge to join a new club, whether that be this summer or further down the line. As for his next destination, that remains to be seen, with multiple clubs trying to secure his signature.
