Problems in Chelsea's dressing room as squad unhappy with teammate

Chelsea's problems extend far beyond the pitch with the squad's harmony now suffering following some players' recent behaviour.

The Blues have endured a disappointing season. Following Enzo Maresca's shock departure, not only are the side now winless in their last four Premier League games, but after being dumped out of the Champions League by PSG, only really have the FA Cup to cling to.

The side will face League One's Port Vale in the cup's quarter finals, and while they're heavy favourites and expected to get the win, with Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal all still in, hopes Chelsea can lift the prestigious trophy are not high.

And it isn't just results and performances Liam Rosenior is trying to overcome. The 41-year-old has been forced to contend with speculation some of his best players, particularly Enzo Fernandez, want out.

Chelsea squad unhappy with Enzo Fernandez

Fernandez plunged his Chelsea into doubt in the wake of the Blues' defeat to PSG by admitting he 'doesn't know' where he'll be playing after this summer's World Cup in the United States of America.

Speculation the Argentine, who currently serves as vice-captain, will leave Stamford Bridge soon has been rife with Real Madrid the club most heavily linked with making a move.

Nothing concrete has been decided yet, but according to the Telegraph, Fernandez's public comments, as well as his obvious on-field frustration with teammates, has left a bitter taste in the Chelsea squad's mouths.

It has been suggested that Fernandez believes Chelsea are not matching his level of ambition, and if that's true, he isn't the only player to feel that way.

Marc Cucurella another critic of Chelsea

Marc Cucurella dropped a bombshell interview earlier this week. The Spaniard took issue with Maresca's sudden departure at the start of the year and questioned BlueCo's vision.

Although Cucurella is wanted by Atletico Madrid, unlike Fernandez, he hasn't issued 'come-and-get-me' pleas, but his comments cannot be disregarded as just throwaway remarks either.

The 27-year-old is one of the club's most important and consistent players and it's a very bad look having him throw shade on the direction the club are heading in.

Failure to get the likes of Fernandez and Cucurella back on side and buying into the project could see the side undergo another overhaul in the summer, and with the club continually signing and selling players, stability has never felt so far away.
