Estevao's last-gasp winner against Liverpool ensured Enzo Maresca's Chelsea deservedly came away with all three points at Stamford Bridge. It was an impressive performance from the Blues given they were without several members of the first-team squad.

Levi Colwill remains sidelined with an ACL injury which has been a massive problem for Maresca. He was starting to feel the heat amid several poor displays and results ahead of the visit of the Premier League champions on Saturday evening.

The 2-1 win could prove to be a turning point and potentially re-ignite talk of a title challenge. But It's vital that Maresca attends to one major reason his side have endured a topsy-turvy season thus far.

Chelsea's fairplay record is ruining their season

Maresca was without Trevoh Chalobah for the win over Liverpool because of his sending off in the 3-1 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion a weekend prior. He joined a list of absentees including Tosin Adarabioyo (calf), Wesley Fofana (concussion) and Cole Palmer (groin). Reece James has become the latest to head to the medical table, withdrawing from the England squad.

The Blues have been seeing red throughout the season and as a result sit rock bottom of the Premier League's Fairplay table (per Transfermarkt). They have 26 points as a yellow card counts one point, yellow and subsequent red card counts for three points and a red card counts five points.

Chalobah was the second player to pick up a red card this season following Robert Sanchez's sending off in a 2-1 defeat to Manchester United. These are silly suspensions that are threatening to ruin any chance of success including a possible title challenge.

There is already an injury crisis that has taken hold at Stamford Bridge but the players who are fit aren't helping themselves picking up constant bookings. It's crucial it's nipped in the bud when they return from the international break.

Enzo Maresca will be suspended vs Nottingham Forest

Enzo Maresca is also a culprit when it comes to Chelsea's suspension list after he was given his marching orders against Liverpool. The Italian coach celebrated Estevao's winner by running down the touchline and joining fans and players in celebration.

This means he will be sitting in the stands for the visit of Nottingham Forest on October 18. He will be hoping his troops can keep the momentum going against a Tricky Trees side who have been disastrous under new manager Ange Postecoglou.

Willy Caballero will fill in for Maresca on the touchline and he was on interview duties after the win over Liverpool. He spoke well by pointing out how youthful this squad was and that they deserve moments like beating the champions.
