Roberto Sánchez
Chelsea’s clean sheets were wiped out late in the game with two late goals by substitutes from Fulham’s bench. This has been a recurring issue this season and must be sorted out. With 66 points this season, Sánchez ranks fifth among goalkeepers, despite playing one game fewer than many of his peers. He is still a solid pick in the goalkeeping position with Chelsea’s fixture difficulty ranking low in FDR.
The only concern is Maresca’s rotation during this festive period. The last time Chelsea played a promoted side, Sánchez was benched in favor of Filip Jørgensen, and this could happen again.
Captain
Palmer, along with Haaland and Salah, remains one of the top captaincy options this Gameweek. Palmer has been in excellent form and faces an Ipswich side that has conceded six goals in their last two home matches.
Palmer outscored Salah—the most popular FPL asset—last week, and he is an excellent choice for the armband in this encounter once again.
Projected Goals
Three of Ipswich’s last five games have seen over 2.5 goals despite Ipswich blanking in three of them. Four of Chelsea’s last five games have gone over 2.5, with the only exception being the 0-0 draw against Everton at Goodison Park.
A high-scoring encounter is on the cards here at Portman Road. The projected goal tally for Chelsea in this game is 2.45, while Ipswich’s stands at 1.03.
