'Total agreement' - Chelsea reportedly agree £60m transfer

According to reports, Chelsea now have a total agreement in place over a £60 million transfer move this summer.

Chelsea have signed plenty of new players this summer. Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens, and Jorrel Hato have been brought in while Estevao and Dario Essugo have also arrived, although deals for them where agreed before this transfer window. However, the Blues are not done yet because there are more players on their radar.

The Blues are currently believed to be negotiating two deals, one to bring in Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig and the other to sign Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho. A fresh update has now arrived regarding the former.

Chelsea have been negotiating a deal for the Netherlands international for a while now and fans have been left frustrated by how slowly it has all moved. Simons has made it clear that he wants to leave this summer.

He joined Leipzig in January for an initial €50m, with a further €30m in add-ons. However, the Dutchman appears eager to leave due to their failure to qualify for the Champions League. And he might be about to get his wish soon.

Simons registered 19 goal contributions last season, scoring 11 times and providing 8 assists. He is widely regarded as one of the finest young talents in European football and he should prove to be an excellent addition for Chelsea. And if reports are accurate, the Blues have succeeding in finding an agreement with RB Leipzig.

As reported by Orazio Accomando, there is a total agreement between Chelsea and Leipzig for Simons for approximately £60m. For the playmaker, a contract is ready until 2032. Deal concluded, transfer to be finalised only from a bureaucratic perspective.

The Blues are looking to add quality and depth in the final third, and Simons, who is capable of operating anywhere across the front three, is expected to help them with that He has proven himself in Germany and will now try to make his impact in England.

Playing in the Premier League could help him improve and further compete at the highest level. Now it remains to be seen when the official confirmation arrives.
