In the 2012/13 season, Demba Ba arrived at Chelsea FC to provide some much needed reinforcements to the Chelsea striker corps and it did not take long for him to make his mark. In his first match for Chelsea in the FA Cup against Southampton, Demba Ba marked his debut with two goals. The first goal came at the end of a scrappy finish that Demba Ba would become well known for among Chelsea fans.

After a nice move between Juan Mata and Eden Hazard, Mata tried to chip the ball over the keeper when he was free on goal but the ball was tipped. It was bouncing slowly toward the goal and a Southampton defender was in the perfect position to clear it. Instead, Demba Ba charged in and finished a tap-in to score his first of many important goals for Chelsea to give them the equalizer they needed.
