Chelsea FC Victory Parade Pictures
By Lee Fraser
Chelsea FC officially got their hands on the Barclays Premier League trophy on Sunday 24th May 2015.
There was only one more thing left to do then, and that was to show it off!
So Chelsea FC rounded up 3 buses (imagine playing against that!), decked them out in Royal Blue and on Monday 25th May 2015 did exactly that.
Contrary to rival fans saying that nobody turns up for Chelsea FC’s victory parades, I knew there would be a decent turn out so I got to my preferred viewing point at 10:30am directly opposite Stamford Gate.
It’s a good job I was early because I literally squeezed into the last gap left on the crowd barriers and sent my 1st tweet of the day.
There was time to take a few pictures of the growing crowd and of course the obligatory Celery wars between the opposite sides of the street.

Then the noise cranked up to an even higher level, the airhorns went ballistic and the chants of Championnes, Championnes filled the air as the first of the buses crept into view.
And the Celery……….

As befits their status the cheer leading was led by Didier Drogba, John Terry and Branislav Ivanovic.

Diego learnt quickly about the Celery ……….

Roman seemed pretty happy with this particular Chelsea FC Bus.

Remy seemed pretty pleased with himself after his 2 goals yesterday!

And then it was the turn of the Youth to soak up the acclaim of the crowds.

And then the buses continued their convoy towards Eel Brook Common.

Then it was time to pack away the camera and very slowly thread my way through the throng and head towards Elm Brook Green myself.
On the way I passed 2 Royal Blue clad men twisting and turning their mobile around trying to work out where they were, so my good deed of the day was done when i just said “Eel Brook Common? … Follow the crowd”
I think they understood me because they started following the thousands headed that way for the final part of the victory parade!
There was a carnival atmosphere on the common itself, by my rough estimates at least 50,000 fans had made their way there for the big screen and to hear the on-bus interviews led by Mr Banter King, Jason Cundy himself.

With a farewell sing song from Didier and an attempt at a sing song by Jose it was sadly time to head on home, after the obligatory trip to the Chelsea FC Megastore of course.
The 2 days have left me with a lifetime of memories and a burning desire to come back again next year to help Chelsea FC celebrate becoming Barclays Premier League Champions 2015/16.
All these photos were taken by my good self, with more available to view at my Flickr page.
