Chelsea FC open their 2015/16 Premier League campaign this afternoon, when they take on Swansea City at Stamford Bridge. After winning the league title last time out, they will be eager to start quickly in a bid to retain their crown.
The Blues have gone through a slightly worrying pre-season, coming away with zero (proper) wins from five fixtures. While results in these matches don’t matter, performances do and that is the more concerning aspect of it. Chelsea have failed to put in a convincing show that lasted for more than 20 minutes. Despite very few new additions to the senior team, it seems as though they have never played together before.
Swansea, meanwhile, were great last season and finished up in 8th position. Gary Monk and his men will be looking to improve on that this time out, and will hope to take their attractive, attacking football to the Europa League.

Jose Mourinho will be hoping to conjure some of his special magic come kick-off on Saturday, and fans will be praying that everything just clicks into place.
Many players also have points to prove and opportunities to take and thus Mourinho’s team selection will be interesting. Will Diego Costa feature? What about Victor Moses? These are all questions that will be answered when the Blues take the field for the first time in the 2015/16 Premier League campaign.
In the meantime, be sure to check right back here as we will post the team news as soon as it becomes available.
