The transfer season is in full swing, so let’s take a look at what transfer rumours concerning Chelsea FC are flying around the press this morning.

John Stones

John Stones will try to force his transfer to Chelsea through himself. Reports have stated that the young defender may be on the verge of handing in a transfer request to the Toffees management in an effort to end this long-running saga. The Blues have been so far rebuffed in their offers of £20m, £26m and £30m, and Jose Mourinho has told the 21-year-old that the onus is now on him to make the move happen.

"It has been rumoured elsewhere that Stones had told those close to him that he is keen on a switch to London, and now the newspaper [The Sun] are reporting that he is on the brink of handing in a transfer request. – The Telegraph"

Paul Pogba

The Blues have been somewhat emboldened by the recent Pedro deal, and have reignited their interest in Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba. Roman Abramovich is believed to be willing to finance a mega deal for Pogba, alongside one for John Stones. When I say mega, I really mean mega. Reports claim that the Russian billionaire is making £100million available for the pair. Monopoly money that.

"The Blues will sign midfield superstar Paul Pogba from Juventus if the Italians are prepared to let him go for £60m.And Jose Mourinho’s champions are also set to splash out £40m in a third attempt to land Everton centre-back John Stones. – The Daily Star"

Victor Moses

Following Pedro’s arrival, there have been rumours surrounding the futures of the more fringe wingers currently in the Blues squad. Victor Moses is one of them and he may be on his way across London to everyone’s favourite club, Tottenham Hotspur. Even though the Nigerian was arguably Chelsea’s best player during pre-season, and Mourinho insisted on keeping him despite approaches from Stoke City, the Blues might move him on in exchange for £6m.

"Moses, 24, has gone out on loan over the past two seasons and is not believed to be part of manager Jose Mourinho’s plans…[Chelsea] will seek make room for even more arrivals in the next few days by offering Moses to Spurs for £6million. – The Express"

Anthony Martial

Here is a new name on the block, Anthony Martial. A highly-rated striker who currently plies his trade in France with AS Monaco, the Blues have apparently gone so far as to make an offer for the teenager. The following citation involves me translating a passage from Spanish publication AS, who reported the bid.

"In fact, Chelsea have tabled an offer worth €55m for [Martial’s] signature. Monaco are insisting that they won’t sell him this season, but a failure to qualify for the Champions League group stage may force a rethink. – AS"

Pedro

The transfer is done and dusted! Pedro is now officially a Chelsea player. We have covered the deal extensively at The Pride Of London so head to this link to check out all of our coverage.
