Chelsea FC travel to Porto for a Champions League clash. Here is all you need to know.
Jose Mourinho returns home to where it all began as Chelsea take on FC Porto in Matchday 2 of the 2015/16 Champions League. The Blues will be hoping to find some inspiration from somewhere as they look to bounce back from another disappointing result against Newcastle United at the weekend.
Despite a string of three consecutive victories in the span of seven days, Chelsea reverted back to the poor form that has plagued their campaign thus far as they fell two goals behind the Magpies at St James’ Park. Substitutes Ramires and Willian saved the day with two late goals but the euphoria of a comeback could not alleviate the gloom of two points dropped.

With Manchester City slipping up against Tottenham Hotspur earlier on Saturday, Chelsea had a golden opportunity to close the gap and get their title defence back on track. They didn’t take it, and chaos has resumed.
Tuesday night will see the Blues meet Porto is another crucial fixture. Mourinho will step back into the Estadio do Dragao in an emotionally charged affair, given that the Portuguese club brought the Chelsea boss his first taste of stardom.
A Champions League triumph in 2004 signalled Mourinho’s arrival as a master tactician and he moved to Stamford Bridge that summer. Now he returns home, but in more troubled circumstances that he would have hoped.
Porto will enter this game full of confidence. Chelsea are vulnerable but, more importantly, the Portuguese outfit are undefeated so far this season and are leading the Primeira Liga alongside Sporting Lisbon.
Furthermore, striker Vincent Aboubakar has already got himself four goals while teammate Jesus Corona has scored three in three league appearances. Porto may not be able to win the competition outright, but they will certainly fancy themselves against this poor Chelsea side especially on their home patch.
With that in mind, here is all the key info.

The two clubs have not met competitively since the 2009/10 campaign, where Chelsea were victorious 1-0 in both group stage games. Nicolas Anelka, incidentally, scored in each fixture. In fact, out of the six previous occasions that the sides have clashed, Chelsea have won four of them with just the one defeat.
The Blues will hoping that the history books have an unjustifiably large impact on the result as they try to put the Premier League turmoil behind them.
