John Terry Anoints Jose Mourinho As The Only Saviour Of Chelsea FC
The current Blues boss is the best man for the job, according to the club captain.
While Chelsea FC have been toiling away and getting nowhere, there has been a concerning subplot developing regarding the relation between John Terry and Jose Mourinho. The Blues captain has attempted to quell such speculation by affirming his confidence in the under-pressure manager.
Speaking to the club website on the back of yet another Chelsea loss, Terry reiterated his faith in the Portuguese tactician by claiming that there is no-one else in the world better positioned to get the club out of this mess.
"We have the best manager who we remain behind and we remain together…I have been here a long time and I have seen managers come and go and if anyone is going to get us out of this hole it is going to be Jose Mourinho."
Despite all the turmoil currently engulfing the West Londoners, Mourinho is one of the most successful football managers operating in the game today. He has proven his managerial credentials time and time again in several different countries.

More important, however, is the fact that he loves the club. He returned to Stamford Bridge with a view to create a legacy and emphasised (even after another loss) that the only way to get rid of him would be to sack him.
Nevertheless, Mourinho has come in for significant criticism given some questionable decision-making thus far. Even the most loyal Blues fans have showed minor signs of dissent towards the Portuguese, as is evidenced by the jeering that greeted the substitutions of Willian and Nemanja Matic at the weekend.
The players, though, have been atrocious. They have failed to show the hunger and desire that a title-chasing team should display and have consequently suffered. While they may have been complacent to begin the campaign, continuous poor results seem to have damaged the team’s confidence. While Terry recognises this, he has reiterated that the squad have the quality to turn things around.
"Generally I think we are looking low on confidence but we have a big group of players in that dressing room and we need to stand up, which we will do. There is no difference from last season."
The issue is that senior Chelsea figures have been spewing similar nonsense all season long, but these rallying cries have not yet translated into a decent show on the pitch.
Chelsea now have the weekend off as the international break comes once again to ruin football fans’ lives. Hopefully the squad will be able to gather their thoughts and return to Cobham refreshed and with renewed passion on the other side.
