Spain. PEDRO . 6. Classic Pedro.<br /> He spent the first 30 minutes either one step behind or four steps ahead of every Chelsea passing play. He had little impact on the game other than being in the frame when other things nearly happened. Then he perfectly capitalized on a Stoke mistake to put Chelsea ahead 2-0, and then went back to nowhere.. 11

The second Chelsea striker to score a hat trick this week, but unlike Michy Batshuayi, Alvaro Morata truly earned all three goals. An absolutely impeccable performance where he showed his awareness, pace, deftness and timing. He played like the Fernando Torres of Atletico Madrid and Liverpool, equal parts poacher and graceful finisher.. 9. Spain. ALVARO MORATA. 10

6. Willian looked much more himself in the first half than he has so far this season. He had the quick feet and creativity that mark his play, while not endlessly dribbling at Stoke’s defenders. An encouraging sign, but then in the second half and joined Pedro on the side of a milk carton.. 22. Brazil. WILLIAN

7. Antonio Conte said that he sent on Gary Cahill in anticipation of Peter Crouch’s entrance to the game. That is partially true. The top priority was bringing off Marcos Alonso. Cahill did not do anything that spoke to his apparent role as the aerial specialist to counter Crouch. Crouch did not get a shot off, and Cahill deserves some credit there. But Cahill did not noticeably improve a solid Chelsea defence.. 24. England. GARY CAHILL

8. Cesc Fabregas may want more starts but he made a perfect case for why he should be Chelsea’s impact sub. When he came on the score was 2-0, the result not really in doubt but the game certainly far from over. He immediately took advantage of the wide open spaces in midfield and behind Stoke’s defence to put on a show of Peak Cesc. His pass to Cesar Azpilicueta which led to the final goal is the one everyone will remember, but it was just one of many. He truly is a game changer.. 4. Spain. CESC FABREGAS

8. Yeah, he’s back. Chelsea were a different team in the final 20 minutes than the first 70. Hazard and Fabregas injected so much quality and precision into the game that you started to ask why they were not out there from the opening whistle. Then you remember Atletico Madrid and Manchester City, and smile happily about his return.. 10. Belgium. EDEN HAZARD
