Callum Hudson-Odoi (Right winger): 7/10

A very good substitute appearance last time out earned Hudson-Odoi a starting spot this time around. It’s safe to say that his most recent showing would have done his chances of being a permanent starter a whole world of good. The youngster was bright and sharp each time he got the ball, constantly looking to make things happen.

Olivier Giroud (Striker): 7/10

Chelsea’s most-experienced striker came to the fore when needed once again. Giroud continued his impressive scoring run as a starter with his 15th goal in his last 16 starts. A proper testament to how crucial he has been to the Blues as of late is that fact that he has scored exactly half of Chelsea’s total goals in December—seven of its last 14.

Christian Pulisic (Left Winger): 6/10

Chelsea’s No. 10 had two chances of varying difficulty levels to put the Blues ahead in the first half. The first opportunity was created purely as a result of his hunger and liveliness as he seized on a loose ball from Jack Grealish and ran in in goal. The second was very difficult, but it was his knack to make things happen that got him in position. Partnering with Chilwell, the duo made the left side of Chelsea’s attack its most productive.

Timo Werner (Striker): 5/10

Timo Werner came on for the last 20 minutes, but couldn’t have any telling contribution. It’s now 10 games without a goal for Werner, who will be looking to arrest his slump in form as soon as possible.
