Mason Mount (No.19) Right Forward, England

Mason Mount genuinely seems irreplaceable in the current Chelsea setup. He has gone from being Lampard’s student to the first name on the team sheet under Tuchel. What often goes unnoticed is the fact that Mount’s goal contributions have improved under the German manager. This has added a new dimension to his game and he seems lethal on the ball. Moreover, his leadership is starting to shine through as he prepares himself to take over the armband and the responsibility of the club in the next few years. Expect a goal or two from Chelsea’s best player against Manchester City.

Kai Havertz (No.29) Centre Forward, Germany

Kai Havertz has started the past three games at center-forward. He has been poor in two out of the three and hasn’t been hauled off at half time for some reason like others. It seems that Tuchel has “tough decisions” to make only for players that didn’t cost the club a fortune. Anyways, Havertz looks like the only player that could start up top for Chelsea as Tuchel doesn’t seem to trust the other strikers (Abraham and Giroud) and Timo Werner’s confidence is down the drain.

Christian Pulisic (No.10) Left Forward, USA

Christian Pulisic is starting to get into his groove and has looked phenomenal in the past few games. Despite the rocky start, he has fought his way into the starting lineup and it seems like he is here to stay. His performances are finally looking like the ones he created during the last phase of the 2019-20 season. Injuries and inconsistent game time have contributed to a mediocre season for the American so far. However, it looks like Pulisic is prepared to become Chelsea’s talisman. Expect a convincing performance from the American against Manchester City.
