Chelsea, Liverpool Combined XI: 4-2-4 only has three Liverpool players
Mason Mount, Centermid, Chelsea
The Chelsea Academy graduate has been an integral part of the Chelsea squad since making his Chelsea debut under former manager Frank Lampard. Mason Mount brings something to the squad which other players might not bring, that is, the desire to succeed as a Chelsea player. Seeing him play you can easily make out that he gives his hundred percent for the club he loves. Since his debut, Mason Mount has turned out to be a world-class player. A player who can adapt his game according to what his manager asks him to do.
Against Arsenal, we saw a glimpse of Mason Mount’s partnership with Kai Havertz and Romelu Lukaku. The way Mason Mount was making runs which dragged the Arsenal defenders out of position for Kai Havertz and Romelu Lukaku to capitalize on was very exciting for every Chelsea fan to watch.
N’Golo Kante, Centermid, Chelsea
Every manager wants a player like N’Golo Kante in their squad and it would have been just preposterous if I didn’t include the French midfielder in the combined XI. N’Golo Kante deserves every praise for his ability to influence the game because there is no other player like him who can play better than him. All of this is backed by him being nominated for the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year award.
N’Golo Kante should be fully fit to start the game against Liverpool after missing the game against Crystal Palace and playing just 15 minutes against Arsenal. Liverpool is a very solid team even if they would have any injury issues so winning the midfield battle will be the deciding factor as to who will come out on top on Saturday. Hopefully Chelsea.
