Chelsea hosts Norwich City in an early Saturday kickoff from Stamford Bridge. The clash features the Premier League leaders against its struggling bottom side. The Canaries have yet to win a game this campaign, whereas the Blues have been bettered just once. Old pals Thomas Tuchel and Daniel Farke square off in an all-German managerial campaign between two teams headed in complete opposite directions. Nevertheless, the early afternoon slot on Saturday always proves tricky in the English top flight. The hosts will be without two of their most important attacking assets, will they still be able to comfortably dispatch Norwich City?

Here is how The Pride of London team sees the contest playing out:

Leighton September: 5-0 Chelsea

Forward injuries aplenty. A front three of Mason Mount, Kai Havertz (as a false nine) and Callum Hudson-Odoi is expected to start up front for the Blues. The amount of pace in that front three is deadly, not to mention the plethora of creativity, as well. This will be another difficult outing for Norwich. I’ll be hoping Havertz will be heavily involved in the goals as he’ll by my FPL captain.

Tan Yi Hao: 4-0 Chelsea

Without or without Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner, this is a team that sits 20th in the league with zero wins under its belt thus far. While Norwich does deserve credit for grinding out two back-to-back 0-0 draws, it is games like this that the Blues have to win. They have to win convincingly if they have any intention at all to win the league this year.

Olaoluwa Nwobodo: 3-0 Chelsea

The Blues have lost their two strikers and this will be the perfect opportunity to make a statement there’s still no weakness in the side. Chelsea has never really found Norwich City easy to play against, so it should not go in too arrogant. Norwich is here to win a game this season, so the Blues should expect them to fight harder. The players need to match Norwich’s energy.

Anthony Gatt: 3-0 Chelsea

Even without Lukaku and Werner, the Blues should win pretty comfortably considering Norwich’s horrible start to the season. The Canaries have only scored two goals in the league so far and I don’t see that changing on Saturday considering how good Tuchel’s side’s defense is. Goals will come from all over the pitch, just like they did on Wednesday night, with the end result being 3-0.

Olly Smith: 4-0 Chelsea

Tuchel has been gifted a rare opportunity to give a run of games to some of the fringe XI and expect them to take full advantage. Hudson-Odoi will be dangerous on the flank and reap the benefits of the Mount-Havertz understanding. Two goals for CHO, one for Havertz and Ruben Loftus-Cheek to cap off a fine display. Mount picks up two assists.

Kevin Peacock: 3-0 Chelsea

Chelsea did well in the week against Malmo, but lost Werner and Lukaku for a few games. Tuchel, however, will have no problem organising his squad to suit. Without the focal point of Lukaku up front, the Blues will look for Kai Havertz to step up.  Perhaps, a break will do the Belgian and German good and with a run of games that, on paper, look winnable may not be so bad.

Vansh Ambashta: 2-0 Chelsea

Havertz genuinely needs to step up with Lukaku and Werner injured. Expect a world class performance from the German.

Barrett Rouen: 3-0 Chelsea

Oddly and frustratingly, the injuries to both Werner and Lukaku mean that Havertz is going to play in his best position. Though we’d all love for him to be a deeper and more creative player, Havertz tends to play best when he is playing centrally as a striker and is entirely relieved of his defensive duties. Hudson-Odoi will also get to play in his favored left-hand position.

Gabe Henderson: 2-0 Chelsea

Early Saturday kickoffs suck; luckily for the Blues, so does Norwich. A nervy affair nonetheless.

Hugo Amaya: 3-0 Chelsea

Another solid result for the Blues. Despite injuries and number of recent games, Chelsea will keep it’s good form going. Goals from Havertz, Mount and Antonio Rudiger.

Mike Malley: 2-0 Chelsea

I hope the scoreline is more dramatic than this on Saturday, but taking three points away from the match is the only result that matters. Chelsea has looked strong since suffering the defeat to Juventus in the Champions League. The Blues sit atop the Premier League table, and with a run of especially beatable opponents ahead of them, they should remain there for at least the next few weeks. Expect to see a from three of CHO-Havertz-Mount against the Canaries.

 Abhishek Pancholi: 4-0 Chelsea

A fast and fluid Chelsea front three will run rings around a bamboozled Norwich defence. Good thing Billy won’t be on the pitch to be a part of the humiliation.
