Mason Mount (Right winger): 9/10

The best Chelsea player to play on the day was Mason Mount. From the start, the English international looked lively and tried to break the resolute five-man West Ham defense. His corner delivery was also on point and helped give Chelsea the lead through Thiago Silva. Then, just before the second half, Mount lashed a volley past Fabianski to restore Chelsea’s lead. He helped the team out defensively too whenever needed.

Kai Havertz (Center forward): 6.5/10

The German international was heavily involved in the first half, building up attacks and he even had a couple of shots on goal. Seeing as Kai Havertz was competing with physically strong defenders like Zouma and Diop, he put up a pretty good display. Unfortunately, toward the end of the half, Havertz went down with an injury he sustained from Zouma’s challenge.

Hakim Ziyech (Left winger): 7.5/10

The Moroccan international gave a very good display against a high pressing West Ham team. At the start, Hakim Ziyech was a bit sloppy but as the game went on, Ziyech grew sharp and assisted Chelsea’s second goal with an exquisite cross-field pass which was converted by Mount. He was later replaced by Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Romelu Lukaku (Striker): 5.5/10

Romelu Lukaku came on at the start of the second half for Havertz. Throughout the match, the Belgian international couldn’t do much in any way possible. Still, a lot of minutes are needed for him to be at his best.

Callum Hudson-Odoi (Left winger/wingback): 6/10

Hudson-Odoi came on for Ziyech in the 64′. He was heavily involved in the second half as Chelsea looked for a winner. Again, his delivery in the final third was lacking quality. Toward the end of the game, Hudson-Odoi had to play as a left wingback and Antonio got the better of him a few times.

Christian Pulisic (Left winger): 5.5/10

Christian Pulisic came on for Alonso in the 72′ to give the Blues a bit more of an attacking threat. Sadly, he couldn’t do much to influence the game.
