Christian Pulisic (Right winger): 4/10

The American international played in his preferred position on Saturday and had nothing to show for it. Christian Pulisic barely got the chance to touch the ball, let alone attack the Man City defense. It was very difficult to believe that Pulisic was even on the pitch at many moments, he was that anonymous.

Romelu Lukaku (Striker): 4/10

Lukaku again turned out to be a frustrating figure throughout this game. The Belgian international’s hold-up play was questionable at best and his decision-making in the final third left a lot to be desired. In the opening minutes of the second half, Lukaku had Chelsea’s best chance to score but was denied by Ederson.

Hakim Ziyech (Left winger): 3/10

In previous meetings with Man City, Ziyech was a player who has been exceptional. Not this time. The Moroccan international was woeful throughout the time he was on the pitch. Ziyech could have played Lukaku in behind the back line twice, but messed up the easiest of passes. Ziyech was hauled off during the 69′ and replaced by Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Timo Werner (Right winger): 5/10

Timo Werner came on for Pulisic in the 69′ and had a great chance to equalize, but his effort was blocked by Aymeric Laporte. The German couldn’t do much other than running with no service from his teammates throughout his time on the pitch.

Callum Hudson-Odoi (Left winger): 5/10

Hudson-Odoi came on for Ziyech in the 69′ and had a couple of chances to put in a cross which could have put the Man City defenders in trouble. Unfortunately, his balls lacked quality and he lacked overall decision making in the final third, which resulted in wasted opportunities.

Mason Mount (Central attacking midfielder): N/A

Mount came on for Alonso in the 80′ and he didn’t have much time to impact the game.
