Chelsea lost yet another game this season on Wednesday, this time at Southampton. The defeat has now made it two losses in five Premier League games thus far for the Blues.
This has been a pretty discouraging start for Thomas Tuchel, given the expectations before the season began. It was a difficult match from a Chelsea point of view, with Blues players making a lot of the same mistakes they had already made so far in the early term.
It was actually difficult to take any positives from such a terrible performance from the away side.
CFC welcome West Ham United at home on Saturday, and this should be seen as an opportunity for Chels’ to get back on their feet – even though it wouldn’t be an easy task. The last time both teams faced each other, it ended with the following result: Chelsea 2-1 West Ham. With the Blues having the upper hand.
These two teams have met 29 times in the last several seasons. Out of those 29 previous meetings, the Blues have won 16 matches while the Hammers were victorious in seven matches. Whilst six ended in a draw. Chelsea is in good home form; while West Ham United are performing average in away clashes.
