Five strikers Chelsea might sign in January transfer window
The Pride of London detail and discuss five strikers that are linked with Chelsea and may be signed during the January transfer window. The list includes these players: David Fofana, Cristiano Ronaldo, Matheus Cunha, Memphis Depay and Youssoufa Moukoko.
The west London club are on the verge of signing David Fofana. According to this report, the two parties are in advanced talks. PoL endorse this one, however, Fofana will probably leave on loan and is considered one for the future.
This is a quick and easy answer: Chels’ shouldn’t sign Cristiano Ronaldo. The Manchester United legend tarnished his legacy at Old Trafford recently and isn’t what’s required in Graham Potter’s team. Would the Portuguese accept being a temporary replacement for Armando Broja, anyway? Possibly – if the money was ‘right’.
Atletico Madrid have apparently offered Matheus Cunha to the Blues. While Cunha possesses the skill set recently absent from Chelsea’s play, making it in the Premier League isn’t an easy step. Maybe a loan is an appropriate option.
Again, I fail to see how a permanent transfer for Memphis Depay is reasonable at his wage level etcetera. Although, on second thought, the Netherlands international could well be effective in the English top-flight which is paramount in this hunt for an interim centreforward or support striker.
A trustworthy update has emerged with respect to Potter’s side’s genuine interest in the impressive Youssoufa Moukoko. Though, unfortunately, the Borussia Dortmund attacker’s agent now says his client will re-sign with the German outfit.
One Premier League club leads transfer chase to sign Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic
As time moves on, there feels less and less of a chance that Pulisic will be a Blue after the current season ends. And, to be totally frank, this eventuality would very likely be the best for everyone involved.
Believe me, I am one of the people who was wrong about the coupling of the United States star and CFC. I still can’t quite get my head around the fact that, for whatever reason, be it status on the pitch, focus, or compatibility, it just didn’t work out on Fulham Road for ‘Captain America’.
Could he make it elsewhere in the EPL? Sure; there is not really an explanation as to why the 24-year-old didn’t make the grade at Stamford Bridge. The talent is there; let’s hope, when he ultimately does depart Chelsea, that the wingman is successful – just not at the Blues’ expense. Unless there is a drastic and dramatic turnaround in affairs, Pulisic will be gone in 2023.
Reports previously stated that the former Dortmund man preferred a summer switch as opposed to leaving in the new year. At the front of the queue, supposedly, are Newcastle United. The Magpies are ‘hoping to make Pulisic their next statement signing’. Manchester United are also considering a move for him, though the pair respectively favour a loan deal.
