Fabrizio Romano confirms Wesley Fofana’s Chelsea return date
Famed Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has roughly confirmed Chelsea defender Wesley Fofana’s apparent Blues return date following a separate injury.
It seems as though Romano is branching out from specialising in transfers with an occasional sprinkling of contract news. Lately, the world famous journalist had been revealing details about player health and fitness status, etcetera.
I have noticed Romano talking injuries once or twice in recent times; I can’t really remember him really doing so prior. With his contacts and sources, this new venture from the true in the know operator is only beneficial for those of us who run dedicated websites, well informed fans and Fantasy Premier League enthusiasts like myself.
Anyway, why I bring all of this up is because of a particularly important piece of news for the Blues concerning Fofana. The French centreback suffered an apparently fresh problem in the friendly versus Brentford on Tuesday. However, Romano tweeted to inform CFC supporters that the injury is not serious; the 22-year-old will make another comeback in three to four weeks.
A message from Chelsea’s convalescing Armando Broja
Regrettably, Broja underwent surgery after a major injury very recently. Thankfully his operation was a success, with the Blues striker taking to social media to assure his fans that he is doing well in spite of the setback to his promising season.
The Albania international sustained the ruptured cruciate ligament issue to the knee during a friendly versus Aston Villa a short time ago, whilst the World Cup progressed. While Broja is technically only the second or third choice option in the centreforward role, he was vital to an underperforming team that isn’t scoring many goals on a consistent basis. There are also cup competitions including the Champions League to think about.
Broja shall be beginning to prepare for his rehabilitation soon; Nathan Gissing claims that the 21-year-old will be sidelined from between six to nine months before being ready for selection once more. The former Vitesse and Southampton loanee thanked his followers for their continued support as he rested following the operation before embarking on a fitness drive. Naturally, The Pride of London wish Broja all the best in his recovery – we need him!
