The January transfer window has finally slammed shut and the most active team was undoubtedly Chelsea. There were a total of eight incomings and some of the biggest headline grabbers were Enzo Fernandez and Mykahilo Mudryk.

Under Todd Boehly, Chelsea have had two unimaginable transfer windows but the January window stands out. Getting deals over the line mid-season is never an easy task as teams act stubbornly in negotiations and do not want to disturb the momentum of the squad. In a difficult market, CFC flexed their financial muscle and signed eight players.

There were some exits too from the first team as Jorginho departed for Arsenal on deadline day. Hakim Ziyech came incredibly close to joining PSG with both clubs reaching an agreement but paperwork not being submitted in time. The Blues sent academy players Bashir Humphreys and Jude Soonsup-Bell left on loan.

Chelsea have spent big bucks in the transfer market but have played it out very smartly to avert any Financial Fair Play violations. The Blues have gone on to sign every top target they had in their list which is excellent business.
