Chelsea are going through turbulent times as Graham Potter has been dismissed and a new manager is yet to be appointed. The turbulence is expected to continue in the summer as CFC will look to trim the squad size. Kai Havertz could be one of the players who could leave the Blues in the summer.

Chelsea are aware of the Financial Fair Play regulations and may have to sell players to balance the books and avoid any violations. Mason Mount, Conor Gallagher, Hakim Ziyech, Mateo Kovacic and a few other first team players could be sold in the summer. Chelsea are currently without a permanent manager as Bruno Saltor carries out the role of being the interim manager.

CFC are looking at Julian Nagelsmann, Mauricio Pochettino, Luis Enrique and Luciano Spalletti. Though, Chelsea have not opened talks with Spalletti yet. Once the new manager comes in, he will evaluate the squad and make a decision about the players and their role in the squad. One thing that is certain is that the Blues will sell players in the summer.

Kai Havertz addresses his Chelsea future amid summer exit reports

Earlier, reports surfaced that Havertz could leave in the summer if Chelsea fail to secure Champions League football for next season. CFC are currently in the quarter finals of the UCL and are set to face Real Madrid next week.

Another report claimed that Havertz will look to leave CFC in the summer, however, Bayern Munich are not interested in signing the German. The 23 year old arrived at Chelsea in 2020 as one of the most promising wunderkinds in world football but his performances have not been up to the mark this season.

He is playing in a striker’s role where he is not able to use his strengths and struggles as the lone man up top. He feels comfortable playing slightly on the right off the striker or as an inside right forward but with no prolific finisher in the team, Havertz has played centrally which has affected his performances.

Chelsea will sign a striker in the summer transfer window but for now Havertz will continue to lead the line. His future is also uncertain and now the German international has addressed his future amid exit rumours.

"“I still have a 2-year contract, I don’t have to move every 2-3 years. My girlfriend and I feel very comfortable in London. I love the club, the people and the fans. At the moment we’re still in the Champions League. My goal is to reach the final again. Football is very fast paced, you never know what will happen. We’ll see what happens in the summer. I’m not thinking about that” (via Podcast Phrasenmäher, Bild, @iMiaSanMia)"
