Goalkeeper: Kepa Arrizabalaga

The Spaniard has been Chelsea’s no. 1 for a while now and it did seem like he would continue to start until the end of the season. Edouard Mendy on the other hand has been struggling with injuries and could leave as soon as this summer as CFC have been linked with multiple keepers to replace him. However the Senegalese International was determined to reclaim his spot and Lampard’s return could give him the chance he desired. But for the weekend, the Gaffer is expected to not try and fix something that isn’t broken and Arrizabalaga should be the man between the sticks.

Right Centre back: Wesley Fofana

The man who has been winning hearts of the Chels’ faithful with his top performances every week will be one of the first names on the team sheet. Initially there were a few doubts when he signed from Leicester, but his rock solid defending has made it evident that the club got the right man.

Centre back: Kalidou Koulibaly

The Senegalese skipper has been pretty reliable since the unavailability of the Brazilian veteran. And he proved that once again in the Liverpool game. He could do better with his passing but until Thiago Silva is back, he will not have to worry about his spot in the Starting XI.

Left Centre back: Benoit Badiashile

There have been regular debates among the fans as to who should be starting as the left centre back. The recent games have seen Marc Cucurella getting the nod over Benoit Badiashile, however his performances have been sub standard. The Spaniard has been caught out of position on multiple occasions leaving the defence exposed and deserves to benched.
