Thiago Silva has seemingly criticised Chelsea Football Club ownership. The Pride of London wonder if the centreback legend will subsequently leave the Blues?

Loss to Real Madrid is no shame for any club. A pair of 2-0 losses over two Champions League ties is also not an embarrassment – for any team. This Chelsea season is over, for all intents and purposes. Essentially, the Blues have yet another rebuild on their hands; the problem is that demolitions don’t usually include recent acquisitions and structures. Silva, the lauded veteran defender, knows that the issues at Stamford Bridge have mounted and combined to create real disorder at CFC. Interestingly and rather unusually, the player seemed to publicly find fault with the contemporary owners.

While I cannot denounce Todd Boehly’s nor Behdad Eghbali’s commitment to reinstating the former status in world football, their strategies are questionable. Scattergun is a word you hear mentioned. I’ll add aimlessly. The Brazilian certainly understands the game away from the field of play; continued disruption would surely accelerate his eventual departure. Silva divulged a few choice criticisms of the way CFC has been run in multiple areas:

"‘I think the first step has been made. An incorrect step, but it has been made.‘We can’t be blaming the managers if we don’t take responsibility. It’s a hard period for the club, with a lot of indecision.‘Change of ownership, new players arriving – we had to increase the size of the changing room because it didn’t fit the size of the squad.‘There is always going to be someone upset because not everyone can play,’ Silva went on.‘The manager can only pick 11 from a squad of 30-something – that’s tough’."

Frank Lampard earns unwanted Chelsea record

Yep you’ve guessed it, Lampard is not just steering a lost ship, the Blues icon is now also the ungrateful skipper of a negative historical run. The ex-midfielder for the west Londoners is the initial boss in the club’s history to be defeated in four successive matches following taking charge.

The fourth disappointment in the streak transpired as CFC were eliminated from the Champions League on Tuesday, thanks to the famous Spanish side. While Lampard is a staunch fellow and will carry on regardless, especially at Chels’, this failure will hurt the gaffer deeply. With nothing to play for as this campaign unwinds, the hierarchy must put together the correct preseason plan in order to resurrect the outfit in general.
