Canadian international Kadeisha Buchanan is even rumored to be back into Hayes’ squad for Wednesday’s clash at Kingsmeadow, creating even more issues for the away side. With Millie Bright likely out for the rest of the campaign, seeing Buchanan return provides the stability and depth this side needs in a position that has been extremely thin over the last two weeks. She may not start or play a full 90 minutes, but if the Canadian can get just a little run out before the FA Cup final, that would be a dream for the West Londoners.

There is no Women’s Super League side Chelsea has been more relentless against than Leicester City throughout the last two seasons.

This is a contest this club cannot overlook, but that would be quite rare for a Hayes-led team to do in May. Sam Kerr may be questionable for Wednesday’s game given her early exit on Sunday, but she has five goals in the last three contests between these two teams.

Hayes will be seeking a more energetic start to the match following the meeting with the Toffees where Chelsea let the opposition have the ball for the first 20 minutes. There is no reason why this should not be a repeat of the December match at the King Power.

The west London side is rolling with the addition of Pernille Harder back into the team and with the FA Cup final on Sunday afternoon, this is the perfect stress-free competition they need.
