There is a potential transfer collapse on the horizon for Chelsea because target Moises Caicedo dreams of playing for the Blues’ Premier League rivals Manchester United.
A domino effect might perhaps be in action as Mason Mount is seemingly stuck in the middle of two English top-flight giants’ reported disagreement. CFC wanted to offload Mount to Man United, at the right price. But that prospective deal has ostensibly fallen apart. Now there could be more trouble.
The Red Devils may have left the negotiating table due to Chelsea’s lofty valuation of Mount. United might now turn to Caicedo – who is wanted by the west Londoners. I know, right. Adding insult to potential injury for the Blues, the Brighton & Hove Albion man once talked about a dream transfer to Old Trafford.
Trevoh Chalobah is another Chelsea man who could leave with interest coming from abroad
Chalobah is a classy defender who will eventually find a home at one of Europe’s top five divisions, I’m sure. It’s just that he may not remain with the Blues, not as a starter anyway. That is if you could have ever considered the Englishman as a regular in the team on Fulham Road. Ironically Graham Potter seemed to use and get the most out of the versatile defender, possibly out of necessity.
And that versatility shall surely aid Chalobah in finding the appropriate club for him. I feel he would be an excellent developing squad player at the Bridge, but one who needs refinement to truly impact a big six English top-flight outfit.
Chalobah will turn 24 by the time the upcoming season starts; reassurances are often demanded by footballers at this age. Meanwhile there could be an option for a temporary exit and extra playing time at a huge club for the centreback. Inter Milan are planning a raid for Cesar Azpilicueta and the former.
Chalobah’s CFC future is unclear at present; Milan’s interest concerns a loan deal. But doubt was cast over the onetime Ipswich Town, Huddersfield Town, and Lorient loanee’s Chelsea status because of Levi Colwill’s expected involvement in 2023/24.
