Superstar Neymar may end up moving to Saudi Arabia with a high profile transfer possible as Chelsea make a decision not to sign the Brazil international.

I’m not sure many of the more tactically-minded and astute Blues fans would actually consider the club signing Neymar a good idea. If he was arriving with only the natural gift of beautiful skill without baggage and monumental ego, I’d certainly suggest that CFC do a deal for the ultra-talented Brazilian. However, that is not the case.

Irrespective of my view, Mauricio Pochettino appears to be unconvinced that Neymar is right for this industrious and testing rebuild. Whether the Paris Saint-Germain forward would consider the Blues in their current incarnation is another question. Despite of a transfer request emerging from the PSG star, reports state that he isn’t coming to London. Al-Hilal are the latest team linked with an interest.

Will Chelsea face a points deduction? The Pride of London take a look

According to a report, the Blues are at risk of a points deduction because the Premier League have launched an investigation. Apparently, during the era when Roman Abramovich was at the helm, a huge amount of money was paid to secret offshore companies. This story emerged after following the current CFC ownership reporting possible problems.

If the west London outfit is found guilty of these crimes, they could supposedly have heavy fines or other punishments imposed. This news article claims that Todd Boehly, Chelsea’s contemporary chairman, told English top-flight bosses of ‘discrepancies within the club’s account’.

I wonder if the recent £8.6million fine from UEFA covering similar irregularities had anything to do with aiding memories or encouraging Blues staff and lawyers to act fast on this occasion. In all seriousness, it would be very contentious, potentially an outrage, if the modern CFC team were denied hard-earned points due to unacceptable behaviour from the previous administration.
