Right Wing back: Malo Gusto (France)

Malo Gusto will have to continue in his role in the absence of Reece James as the Blues lack further backup. He dropped a magnificent performance in the last game bagging two assists. And will be looking to exploit this fixture as it will allow him to play with much more freedom and take more risks.

Central Midfield: Lesley Ugochukwu (France)

The former Rennes midfielder joined the Blues this summer and has looked razor-sharp in all of his cameos. The Chels’ faithful are eager to watch him start and play out the entire duration of the game.

Central Midfield: Conor Gallagher (England)

This position could be tricky. Pochettino could opt to field Moises Caicedo who had a decent full debut wanting him to build momentum or could also consider saving him for important  games where the side will need him. Gallagher seems like a safer bet and for him personally, this game could prove to be crucial as the addition of Romeo Lavia could eventually lead to his role in the squad diminishing. He’d surely want to cement his name in the Gaffer’s plans before it too late.

Left Wing: Ian Maatsen (Netherlands)

Maatsen was unquestionably one of the few standout performers in preseason. He mainly impressed fanbase with his versatility. Truly a blessing for any manager. He has been enthusiastically waiting for his opportunity and he’d be expected to leave his mark by the end of the game.
