After a long wait for Chelsea supporters to finally see an exciting new signing, Christopher Nkunku could make his competitive debut in one of these Blues games.

CFC head coach Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that Nkunku is ahead of schedule in his race to be match fit. The Frenchman is expected to feature for Chelsea in November.

Unfortunately, the former RB Leipzig man won’t make the Blackburn Rovers fixture. Yet Blues fans will hope that Nkunku is ready for either the Tottenham Hotspur or Manchester City matches on the 6th and 12th of this month.

Romelu Lukaku’s Chelsea swap rumour

The Pride of London have more Lukaku talk to take Blues fans through now, including our usual views on the so-called updates. First of all, the Belgium international is having another great season in Italy’s Serie A, this time with ex-CFC manager Jose Mourinho’s Roma. The centreforward has netted an impressive eight goals in 10 appearances in the 2023/24 campaign so far. Chels’ could have done with that output themselves this term! But he’ll probably never return to Fulham Road as a home side player.

Meanwhile, hearsay suggests Tammy Abraham could make his way back to Chelsea at some point. Is this realistic? Possibly. The 26 year old striker is talented enough to lead the current team at Stamford Bridge, as I see the situation. If the west London club want to win the most major of honours in the not too distant future, then I am unsure that Abraham is quite of that upper echelon quality. I do, however, rate the Englishman.

Of course Abraham led the line at the Bridge before, and did very well indeed. Now a potential trade deal involving the two athletes is being touted in the media. With Lukaku set to permanently exit Chelsea next summer, the former might perhaps be used as a bargaining tool. More can be read about a prospective swap agreement here. Abraham’s significant injury makes it unlikely that this deal will transpire.
