The Pride of London explain why Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino is upset with former Newcastle United star and current Match of the Day pundit Alan Shearer. Meanwhile Blues defender Levi Colwill has shown that the west London side are well up for the game with Tottenham Hotspur when they travel to north London on Monday for a Premier League clash.

Ex-England international Shearer heavily criticised CFC striker Nicolas Jackson recently. The 53-year-old doesn’t consider Jackson a natural goalscorer.

Pochettino took exception to the statements. The Argentine stated that Shearer made the comments from one game’s analysis. ‘Poch’ suggests that the unfair verdict was ‘dangerous’.

Levi Colwill and his Chelsea teammates will raise their collective games for the Tottenham Hotspur match, Three Lions player promises

Colwill is enjoying a fairly meteoric rise to fame and prominence for club and country. Is the acclaim and status warranted, you may ask, amid the usual press excitement? Sort of. He has the potential to be a regular for both huge outfits Chelsea along with the England National Team. What he showed at Brighton & Hove Albion was undeniably promising. However, it doesn’t equal success at a club like CFC!

But the 27-year-old’s rather rapid ascension is coming, certainly with Gareth Southgate’s side, thanks to injury and unavailability. At Stamford Bridge there is a lack of, as well as a lack of trust for, specific leftback options. Ian Maatsen arguably should have gotten his chance when Ben Chilwell was injured again. Yet Colwill has definitely looked the part in the English top-flight, even out of position, which is an ideal element of the modern professional.

The Blues fan base will unequivocally love the latest comments from their now regularly starting starlet. Colwill ultimately believes that Chelsea can defeat Spurs, not to mention the makeshift fullback relishing the rivalry.
