Predicted Chelsea XI vs Man City: Cucurella starts in 4-2-3-1 formation

Central Midfield: Moises Caicedo (Ecuador)

Caicedo keeps getting better with every passing game and has now become an integral part of the set up. He was unlucky to have his long range effort against Spurs denied by VAR and will now be hoping to get on the scoresheet sooner rather than later. He has also spoken about his settling in period,

"“It helps a lot he(Pochettino) speaks Spanish. You can understand the style of football he wants as a coach and that also helped me to decide to come to this club. There are other players here who speak my language, which helps me understand what everybody wants or expects.”"

Central Midfield: Enzo Fernandez (Argentina)

The Argentina International played in a Chelsea shirt for the first time in February and since then he has the best long ball completion rate (73.6%) in the Premier League (200+ attempted). And now after Caicedo has taken up a fair share of his defensive duties, we see Fernandez taking more risks and playing with much more freedom. His creativity will be crucial against the Cityzens.

Central Attacking Midfield: Conor Gallagher (England)

Conor Gallagher has the most assists, chances created, tackles, interceptions, possession won in the final third and recoveries for Chelsea this season. The tenacious midfielder who has covered more ground for the club than any other player (122.43km) also managed to create five chances against Spurs which is the most he’s ever created in the Premier League. His all round performances will definitely be rewarded with a new contract sooner or later.
