Cole Palmer tells teammate to work harder amid twist to Gallagher contract
The Pride of London have two Chelsea topics to discuss with fans. Firstly, Cole Palmer tells a teammate to work harder. Along with a twist to Conor Gallagher contract speculation.
Everyone is talking about Cole Palmer at the moment. From his boots sporting Saint Kitts and Nevis flag – family ties – to his potential England debut on Friday. It’s the Palmer show at present. And the former Manchester City starlet has earned his place in the spotlight. Let’s hope the acclaim and attention doesn’t detract from his football or upset him in any way. Anyway, we are speaking about a different matter today. Still Palmer-related, of course. Basically the up-and-coming Blues star isn’t just the newest media darling on the scene. He is even taking a more prominent place amongst his peers, and even elders, within the CFC squad according to all suggestions.
Not short of a ridiculous amount of confidence – that is different to arrogance – the 21-year-old is being touted as a possible dressing room leader for the west London club. You do occasionally see some young, very impactful and successful athletes. Enzo Fernandez for example. And Palmer is really making a name for himself in every way, too. The latter actually gave a piece of candid advice, or direct instructions, to older colleague Nicolas Jackson. Palmer essentially told a reporter that Jackson, 22, should focus more and increase his efforts at training. Wow. That is as startling as it is impressive to know.
Fresh hearsay regarding the Conor Gallagher contract situation at Chelsea
There is much chatter about a prospectively new agreement for Gallagher at Stamford Bridge. He actually said himself that he hopes to commit to the Blues. Although, an article published on Tuesday contains a claim that bosses of the English capital outfit are yet to offer an upgraded deal to the midfielder.
