Today (Thursday, January 2), a dream came true for a young footballer. And, according to him, 'anyone' would be happy to play for Chelsea Football Club. The defender was not supposed to be with the Blues yet. However, obviously the player is rated so highly that he was wanted in the squad immediately. The Argentine 'is tipped to become great', if we trust various expert assessments.

Although, what CFC manager Enzo Maresca will do with the starlet exactly is unknown at present. Will the up-and-coming centre back train with the senior squad? Will the man in question even get minutes for the first team? Or will he be placed with Chelsea's Under-21s in order to develop and/or gauge his skills?

In addition to covering that story, we take a glance at more Stamford Bridge business and offer our views as well. And our opinions can be quite frank when it comes to what's best for athletes and football sides in general. To that end, I'd have to advise and encourage Ben Chilwell to reconsider his apparent stance. The former Leicester City full back is said to be unwilling to take a pay cut. I believe this strategy ultimately hurts his career and his ties to the Fulham Road outfit. I'll now explain why.

Chelsea outcast Ben Chilwell needs to get real

Chilwell elite footballer status is seriously suffering. Maresca won't change his mind about players as The Pride of London see the situation. But the 28 year-old's calling can be revived.

The previously capped England international could do very well elsewhere. He could return to the Foxes for example. Although his level is probably closer to EPL clubs placed mid-to-high, if you ask me.

"The 28-year-old [Chilwell] is frustrated by the lack of game time but is equally unwilling to surrender his lucrative contract to help out the club who handed it to him. The Sun therefore reports that Chelsea may need to pay off Chilwell with a severance package, or arrange a heavily subsidised loan deal to shift him to another club in the January transfer window."

Aaron Anselmino is on his way

The Blues have a signing en route to the English capital. And big things are expected from Anselmino himself, along with CFC's own optimistic expectations:

"Anselmino is joining Chelsea this month ahead of time after being signed by the Blues in the summer transfer window.

They moved to secure the youngster head of the competition at that point and agreed a deal with Boca Juniors that saw him remain at the Argentine club to continue his development.

The initial plan was for him to remain at Boca Juniors until the end of the season but that has now been changed, with Chelsea making the decision earlier this week to add him to Enzo Maresca’s squad ahead of that point."
