It is nothing new for Arsenal to try and sign players from Chelsea. Rarely have they brought in those who have their best days ahead of them. The only name that comes to mind in this regard is Kai Havertz, who was signed at 24 years of age. Other than that, they have added the likes of Jorginho, David Luiz, Willian, Petr Cech, Raheem Sterling and more.

Now, though, it looks like another Chelsea player in their sights. And in this instance, it is someone who is not even close to his prime yet.

We are talking about Noni Madueke. When this rumour first emerged, it had looked like a creation of the speculation mill on a slow news day. But with several reliable sources now confirming it, it appears that the English winger heading to Arsenal is a very real possibility this summer.

As reported by Florian Plettenberg, Arsenal have already submitted an offer to Noni Madueke. The English winger could leave Chelsea this summer and talks have started.

Chelsea signed Madueke in early 2023 from PSV for a transfer fee believed to be in the region of £29 million. Since then, we have seen glimpses of immense quality. But he has never proven to be a consistent performer.

There is a lot to like about Madueke's game though and he is someone who got consistent minutes under the management of Enzo Maresca last season, playing in several positions across the pitch. The manager clearly trusts him.

So, it might not be the best idea to part ways with him now. That being said, if the right offer arrives on their table, there is a good likelihood that Chelsea will consider it. There have been suggestions that Chelsea want around £50 million and considering the fees they are set to pay for Jamie Gittens and Joao Pedro, that is not an unreasonable demand by any means.
